Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience, I understand that reaching out for help is not always easy. Even reading a bio can be a first step toward something different. I work with clients navigating relationship issues, negative thinking, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, LGBTQ, and trauma patterns that keep them from feeling like the best version of themselves. Many of the people I support feel stuck in the same thoughts, the same relationship cycles, or the same doubts about themselves. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and understood while we work together to identify what is getting in the way and create practical steps toward change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is flexible, collaborative, interactive, and tailored to each client, because I do not believe therapy should ever be one-size-fits-all. In session, we may explore the thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and past experiences that are shaping how you feel today. We may work on challenging negative thinking, building self-esteem, improving communication, setting boundaries, managing anxiety or depression, reducing stress, and identifying healthier ways to respond to life’s challenges. I value feedback and want therapy to feel like a real partnership. My style is supportive, honest, and engaged, with a focus on helping you feel safe enough to explore difficult things while also building tools that help you move forward.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will begin by getting to know each other and understanding what brought you to therapy. Clearly identifying a problem is often the first step toward solving it, but I also understand that this can take time. We will talk about your current concerns, personal history, relationship patterns, strengths, and what you hope will feel different through our work together. Whether you are struggling with relationship issues, negative thinking, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, stress, or feeling stuck in a pattern that is no longer working, we will begin creating a direction that feels realistic and supportive. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, comfortable, and clearer about how therapy can help you take the next step.
