Ronald Chew

I would like for you to know that I'm a black male, born in inner city Chicago, Illinois. I'm compassionate about mental health in my community and culture and want us to grow mentally strong together. I graduated high school, I attended Southern Illinois University where I obtained a Masters degree in Social Work, then I continued to University of Missouri St. Louis for my doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I have worked in many fields over the course of my 21 year profession, with all populations and age groups. Also, I have a passion for serving the correctional populations as well as individuals who lack the means to engage in such treatment/therapy. I'm in the fight with you until progress is achieved for all involved.

My approach to therapy is openness, honesty, integrity, and the willingness to face fears. I like to use a strength-based approach, as well as a cognitive behavioral approach to therapy. In reality, our thought processes initiate our path to success and failure.

I would hope that clients can expect a supportive, non-judgmental space where they feel heard, and empowered. Through our sessions, they will gain clarity, tools, insight, confidence, and progress. I truly believe in a collaborative approach in working through trauma to pursue personal growth.
