Great to meet you!

I was trained at Harvard teaching hospitals and US/Europeans universities, and have worked with a broad range of patients, diverse by age, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. I believe I bring an empathic, calm, engaged, and patient attitude to the process. I specialize in helping people with mood and trauma-related difficulties, work and life transitions, issues around loss and identity, as well relationship issues. I work with individuals of all ages.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I seek to try to understand why and how a person is in distress. I seek to understand a person in the context of their present and past life. The sources and patterns of the distress/hardship that bring people into psychotherapy can often be located in an individual's (family) history, with the key contributors being relationship dynamics, major stresses, traumatic incidents, and so forth. I support a patient's process in addressing resultant needs and issues.

What you can expect from our first session

I hope that a patient feels known and understood, supported, benefitting from insight but also the sense that they can better manage and handle the stress that is part of their situation.
