Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Roni, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based care. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from William Carey University and have over a decade of experience in behavioral health.

My career began working with children and adolescents in psychiatric care, and over the years I have expanded my experience to support individuals facing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change.

As the founder of Positive Minds Matter, I provide a warm, client-centered approach tailored to each person's unique goals and strengths. Whether you're seeking support through a difficult season or working toward long-term personal growth, I'm committed to helping you build practical coping skills, increase resilience, and improve your overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, meaning we work together to identify your goals and develop practical strategies that fit your unique needs. I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while tailoring treatment to each individual. I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, trauma, self-esteem, and relationship challenges. My goal is to help you build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and create lasting, meaningful change so you can live a more balanced and fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your current concerns, review your personal history, and identify the goals you'd like to work toward. My priority is to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. Together, we'll develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and begin identifying practical strategies to help you move toward meaningful, lasting change.
