Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Black Healing Practice. I was born and raised in South Central California, served two enlistments in the military, and bring both clinical training and lived experience into the work I do. My educational background includes an Associate’s degree in Human Biology, a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, and ongoing doctoral training in Applied Clinical Psychology.

I work primarily with Black women and men navigating workplace trauma, burnout, anxiety, depression, identity-related stress, and life transitions. I also support clients experiencing relational challenges, emotional overwhelm, and long-standing patterns that may be impacting their well-being. My practice was created to provide a space where clients do not have to shrink, overperform, or code-switch in order to feel understood.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and collaborative. I help clients explore both present stressors and the deeper patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, or emotional overwhelm. I integrate insight-oriented therapy with practical tools to help clients build healthier boundaries, reconnect with themselves, and move through life with more clarity and intention.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a warm, grounded, and nonjudgmental space where they can show up as they are. During the first session, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope to gain from the process. There is no pressure to have everything figured out right away, our goal is to begin building a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood.
