Great to meet you!

I believe therapy works best when you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in the process. I work with adults who may be dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, changes in their physical health, or challenges that can affect how they see themselves and their relationships. I also have a particular interest in working with men's mental health and creating a space where clients can talk openly without feeling judged. My style is warm, open-minded, and participatory, and I want therapy to feel like something we are working through together—not something being done to you. You can expect me to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help you identify practical steps that fit your goals and your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to the person sitting across from me. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, and behavioral approaches to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and everyday experiences. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I want to understand what is happening in your life, what you want to change, and what has or has not worked for you in the past. We will work together to identify realistic goals and meaningful steps forward. My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to help you gain insight, build useful skills, recognize your strengths, and make changes that feel realistic and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. I will ask about the concerns you are experiencing, what you would like to be different, and the experiences that may be contributing to what you are going through. We will also talk about your goals and what you hope therapy can provide. You are welcome to ask me questions about my approach, and I want you to feel comfortable sharing what you need from the therapeutic relationship. You do not need to have everything figured out before we meet. You do not need the perfect words to explain what is happening. We can start where you are and work from there together.
