Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Rosa. I became a therapist because I've seen how much changes when someone finally has a space that's just for them — no performing, no managing other people's feelings, just honest conversation about what's actually going on.

I grew up in a Latinx household, and a lot of what I do is shaped by that — understanding how family, culture, and identity get tangled up with the stuff that brings people to therapy. If that resonates with you, I think you'll feel it pretty quickly in how we work together.

My approach to therapy

I like to get to know how you think before we do anything else. Some people want tools and structure. Some people just need to talk it out first.

I've worked with kids, teenagers, couples, and adults across a lot of different situations — anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, identity — and what I've learned is that the approach has to fit the person, not the other way around.

I use CBT and CPT when it makes sense, especially for trauma and anxiety, but I'm not rigid about it. We'll figure out together what actually helps.

What you can expect from me

The first session is pretty simple — I'll tell you a bit about how I work, we'll go over the basics, and then I mostly want to hear from you. What's been going on, what's felt hard, what you're hoping for. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before we start. Most people leave that first session feeling a little lighter just from having said it out loud.
