Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Rosa. I am a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced counselor with over 10 years of experience providing mental health and school-based counseling services. I have worked with culturally diverse populations across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults.

As a first-generation college graduate, mother of two daughters, and dog owner, I understand the challenges that come with balancing life's many responsibilities and transitions. My personal experiences, including supporting my mother through a lung transplant related to an autoimmune illness, have deepened my appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit and the strength it takes to navigate life's challenges.

I believe in building a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered. Together, we will identify your strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward creating a more peaceful, balanced, and fulfilling life one in which you can heal, grow, and thrive.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, and empowering. I work alongside clients to identify their strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting growth in their lives. I use evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals.

I help clients navigate anxiety, stress, life transitions, and emotional challenges in a compassionate and supportive environment. My work draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, and solution-focused techniques while considering the whole person—their relationships, environment, life experiences, and personal strengths.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I will ask you questions about your experiences, concerns, strengths, and goals while giving you the space to share at your own pace. Together, we will begin creating a plan for therapy that feels meaningful and achievable. Most importantly, my goal is to help you feel comfortable and know that this therapy environment is safe, supportive, and dedicated to your well-being.
