Great to meet you!

If you're struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, I can help. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, committed to helping adults, young and older adults, who may be dealing with the challenges of life transitions and social pressures. I work with my clients navigate these transition periods to build skills to allow them to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life.

For many years I worked in the laboratory as a Medical Technologist, where my work is behind the scenes, analyzing and testing blood, body fluids, etc, to help doctors diagnose and treat diseases. We are the same people who have anxiety, stress, depression, etc, needing help, and I decided to become a therapist. I have been drawn to helping people through difficult times, and I wanted and needed the skills to see them become the best versions of themselves.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy varies based on your needs. I believe that you are the expert on your life. There is no "magic wand" that works for everyone. I aim to provide the space where you will not be judged, but will be unconditionally supported as we navigate through you concerns and fears. My approach is all about working collaboratively to find what works for you to find the relief and balance that you seek. You will do some hard work, but you won't be doing it alone.

What you can expect from me

What you can expect from our first session is for us to spend the majority of our time talking about how you have been feeling recently, and me asking questions to better understand some of why you may be feeling that way, about us building an initial connection to get a better sense of your goals for therapy. And in every session, you will be met with kindness, unconditional positive regard, and a dose of humor.
