Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health counselor with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families across educational, clinical, and community settings. I hold a doctorate in Educational Psychology, and my professional background has given me a broad understanding of the emotional, behavioral, and life challenges people may experience at different stages of life.

I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, relationship and family concerns, ADHD and executive functioning difficulties, parenting challenges, and major life transitions. I strive to provide a supportive and culturally responsive space where clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable being themselves.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy should be tailored to the individual rather than expecting every client to respond to the same approach. I take time to understand your experiences, strengths, culture, relationships, and the changes you would like to make.

Depending on your needs, I may incorporate strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and other evidence-based approaches. Together, we will identify patterns that may be getting in your way, develop practical coping strategies, build on your existing strengths, and work toward meaningful changes that extend beyond the therapy session.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin identifying what you would like to gain from therapy. I will invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, what is already working well, and where you would like additional support.

You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We will work together to identify your priorities and begin developing goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of how we can move forward together.
