Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Dr. Rose Sullivan, and I’m a licensed psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience providing therapy for children, teens and adults. I earned my bachelors degree from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina, masters in social work degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and my PhD from Smith College in Massachusetts. I use a range of proven treatment approaches to help with issues like: anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, and relationship issues. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where we can work together to explore your feelings and develop strategies for positive change. I look forward to working with you.

My approach to therapy

I believe that a good therapy experience is rooted in a strong professional relationship between client and therapist. Compassion, acceptance and empathy are critical building blocks for this relationship. Once an alliance is formed, I am trained in short term and longer term treatment approaches that help people feel better, and feel ready for the next chapter in their lives.

What you can expect from me

Therapy sessions with me will involve deep and compassionate listening, nonjudgemental observations and interventions, and support in developing healthy patterns in relationships.
