Great to meet you!

Nineteen years in the field, and the part I still love most is when someone decides to trust the process. I have worked with adults and adolescents through some of their most difficult moments, in schools, hospitals, and state psychiatric facilities, including an eight-year stretch in a criminal procedure law unit. All of that shaped how I work: patiently, with a plan that actually fits you. Whether you are dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or something harder to name, I meet you where you are. And I mean it when I say not all approaches work for every person. That is not a disclaimer. That is how I work.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is practical and collaborative. We look at how your thoughts shape the way you feel and respond, and we work through patterns that developed for good reasons but may not be serving you anymore. For trauma work, I move at your pace and check in often, making sure the work stays manageable rather than overwhelming. I also use mindfulness-based tools and motivational approaches when they fit. Between sessions, I try to give you something concrete to hold onto. If an approach is not clicking, we change course. I have worked with enough people to know that no two paths look the same.

What you can expect from me

I believe in client-centered treatment, creating a warm and welcoming environment. I invite my clients to express themselves as their true and authentic self. First and most, I want to be where you need to be. I will make sure to answer any questions you might have with getting started. Most importantly, make sure we go over what brought you to therapy and work together, to best support you. I do not believe the first session has to feel like a formal Q&A. Ideally getting the information we need to work together, in the most organic way.
