Great to meet you!

My name is Roselyn Kwenda, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Massachusetts- Lowell in 2004 and my Master of Science in Nursing from University of Texas- Arlington in 2016. I have extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, which allows me to support individuals across a wide range of mental health needs.

My approach to therapy

My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and safe to be honest. I take a collaborative approach to care and we will work together to understand what is going on and develop a treatment plan that fits your needs and goals. I may ask direct questions or offer observations to help guide our work, but I always aim to do so with care and respect.

I value your input and encourage you to share what is working and what is not, so we can adjust your care in a way that best supports you.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where you can share your concerns openly. We will discuss your current symptoms, history, and goals for care, and I may ask questions to better understand your needs. Together, we will begin to develop a personalized treatment plan, which may include therapy recommendations, lifestyle strategies, and/or medication options if appropriate. My goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and leave with a clear direction for next steps.
