Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Rosemary, I am a Christ follower and I started Wide Awake Therapy, Christian Counseling to help minister to the emotional and spiritual needs of believer and individuals in the community. I have a Master of Arts in Counseling and I am Licensed as a Professional Counselor. Over the years, my passion has been cultivated to help treat anxiety disorders including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Trauma.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My style of therapy is relationally based, meaning we work collaboratively to understand how to meet your specific needs. Structured session typically facilitates the therapeutic gains faster; however, I understand the benefits of being flexible as well. I combine mindfulness practices, exposure, and response prevention techniques, as well as dialectical behavioral therapy. When requested, I love to incorporate biblical principles and practices.

What you can expect from our first session

While working together, you can expect to learn strategies to manage stress, regulate emotions, and face challenges feeling empowered and believing in yourself. Seeking therapy places you in a vulnerable position, but it can be the birthplace for transformation. Assigning activities and exercises between sessions will encourage this change and make therapy meaningful.
