Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Rosemary Puerto and I'm a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of California. I have vast experience working with individuals of various backgrounds, including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ community members. I specialize in trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, and body image issues.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I practice using an integrative approach, focusing on individual needs, goals, and skills. I mainly work from a CBT/DBT modality, but also like to integrate other modalities like ACT, narrative, and EMDR.

I utilize trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and social justice perspectives to treat various issues and presentations.

What you can expect from our first session

My clients can expect they will be welcomed into a warm, comfortable, non-judgmental, safe space where they will receive intentional and collaborative care suited to their individual needs and strengths. My hope is that my clients gain a more stable sense of self, improved insight into their wellness, and learning new skills/abilities that lead to a life worth living.
