Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional counselor of 20years dedicated to helping persons who are purpose-driven adults find peace, balance, and healing in the midst of life’s pressures. Many of the individuals I work with carry deep responsibilities at home, at work, in ministry, and in their communities and often feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves despite seeming strong to others. My role is to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can set down the expectations, explore your story, and learn practical tools to move forward with clarity, confidence, and emotional stability.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe healing happens when clients feel safe, respected, and supported, so I work to create a space where you can speak openly without judgment and move at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we take time to get to know what brings you in and what you’re hoping to accomplish. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and any previous counseling experiences. The goal is not to dive too quickly but to create a safe, judgment-free space where you feel heard and understood.

We’ll also discuss goals for therapy and outline a plan tailored to your needs whether that includes processing emotions, learning coping strategies, addressing trauma, improving relationships, or building healthier routines. While the first session can sometimes feel emotional or overwhelming, many clients leave feeling more grounded and hopeful simply because they took the first step and finally have support.

Most importantly, the session moves at your pace. You don’t have to tell your whole story at once. I’ll guide the conversation gently, answer any questions about the therapeutic process, and make sure you feel respected, supported, and empowered throughout.
