During your first session, my priority is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. We will take time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you in, including your current concerns, symptoms, and goals for care. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we will move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
I’ll ask questions about your mental health history, medical background, medications, and life experiences to get a full picture of what’s going on for you. This helps me better understand your needs and develop a thoughtful, individualized plan. You’re always welcome to ask questions, and I’ll explain things in clear, straightforward language.
If medication is being considered, we’ll discuss options together, including benefits, potential side effects, and alternatives. Nothing is decided without your input. My approach is collaborative, and your comfort and preferences matter.
By the end of the session, we’ll outline the next steps and create a plan that feels realistic and supportive. Most importantly, you can expect a respectful, judgment-free space where you are treated with compassion and understanding. My goal is for you to leave feeling informed, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
I look forward to meeting you and taking this first step together.
