Hello! Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. My name is Roxana—a proud first-generation Mexican-American, born and raised in Southern California, and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. I’ve worked in the mental health field since 2012, starting with case management for individuals experiencing homelessness and severe mental illness.
My experience spans diverse settings across Riverside County, including Forensic Mental Health, where I supported men involved in the Criminal Justice System. I also provide individual therapy to service members, veterans, and first responders facing PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions.
I work with clients facing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma. I often use Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a brain-based approach that helps reprocess distressing memories—without needing to talk through every detail. Many clients feel relief within 1 to 5 sessions. I also draw from CBT, DBT, and SFBT to tailor care to your unique needs and goals.
In our first session, we’ll review intake paperwork and complete a biopsychosocial assessment to understand factors affecting your situation. Together, we’ll set treatment goals to guide our work.
Follow-up sessions focus on those goals and may include skill practice or handouts between sessions to support your progress.
I believe therapy starts with a genuine human connection. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel seen and heard—and I often weave in gentle humor to make the process feel more approachable. Therapy doesn’t always have to be so heavy.
It’s an honor to walk alongside someone in their healing. Thank you for reading my profile—I look forward to connecting with you.
