Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist with a Master's degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. Born and Raised in the East Bay I have spent the past four years guiding the administrative, clinical, and quality improvement functions for several community mental health programs in Oakland, California. My own challenges in life ignited my passion for mental health and I am eager to help others gain freedom from their problems.

My approach to therapy

The number one predictor of good outcomes in therapy is the rapport between client and therapist. I bring my authentic self into the room. On the spectrum from touchy-feely to practical, I am much more practical. I provide direct feedback and sometimes I cuss.

What you can expect from me

The only thing scarier than change, is thinking things will never change. Our relationships seem stuck. It’s difficult to manage our emotions. We feel bad more days than not. We don’t have to live like this and change is possible. I honor the courage and strength it takes to ask for help. In our sessions we will identify and explore patterns that no longer work. After that, we will construct new patterns to help live a more satisfying life and have more meaningful relationships.
