Great to meet you!

Welcome to my online practice! I'm Roy Chukwuemeka, licensed in Arizona with 11 years expereince and member of the National Bosard of Certified Counselors ( NBCC) and The American Counseling Association ( ACA). I hold my Masters of Arts degree from Ottawa University specializing in Trauma, Abuse and Depravation. I have a passion for guiding individuals on their journey to healing and self-discovery. Specializing in trauma-informed therapy, I provide a safe and supportive space online where my clients can explore their experiences and work towards positive change.

Compared to in-person counseling, telehealth offers you greater flexibility and convenience, making it easier for you to prioritize your mental health. Whether you're a busy professional, a stay-at-home parent, or someone with a packed schedule, virtual sessions can fit seamlessly into your life.

So, let's embark on this journey together, one step at a time, as we work towards healing, growth, and a brighter future. Remember, you don't have to face life's challenges alone—I'm here to help, and with the convenience of online therapy, support is just a click away!

My approach to therapy

As a licensed professional counselor, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By identifying and challenging negative thought patterns, I work with clients to develop healthier perspectives and coping strategies. This approach empowers clients to make positive changes, improve their emotional well-being, and achieve their personal goals.

In addition, I incorporate trauma-informed care to create a safe, culturally competent and supportive environment for my clients. Recognizing the widespread impact of trauma, I prioritize establishing trust and empowering clients by respecting their autonomy and choices. By understanding the effects of trauma on the mind and body, I tailor my therapeutic approach to be sensitive to each client’s unique experiences, ensuring that treatment is collaborative and empowering.

What you can expect from me

During our collaborative sessions I guide clients towards building resilience, and promotes recovery by honoring their strengths and acknowledging their past experiences.Typically, clients learn that self-empowerment is possible and achievable with professional guidance and support.
