Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed psychologist who genuinely enjoys working with people navigating some of life's most difficult moments — whether that's anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, loss, substance use, chronic illness, or questions around sexuality and sexual health — and I have a particular warmth for working with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples facing major life transitions. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy, which means we'll explore together how your earlier experiences and inner world may be shaping the patterns and pain you're experiencing today, while drawing on cognitive-behavioral tools when they're a good fit for you. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a true collaboration — a space where you can bring whatever is most on your mind, feel genuinely heard, and begin to make sense of what you've been carrying. If you're ready to slow down, go deeper, and start feeling more like yourself again, I welcome the opportunity to work together.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in psychodynamic and relational psychoanalytic thinking, which means we'll work together to understand how your early experiences, inner conflicts, and relational patterns may be shaping the difficulties you're facing today. I also draw on cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based methods when they're a good fit, so that our work remains flexible and responsive to your specific needs and goals. I have particular expertise in trauma, LGBTQ+ affirmative care, couples therapy, and issues related to sexuality and sexual health, and I bring the same spirit of curiosity, warmth, and collaboration to every person I work with.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get acquainted. I will invite you to share what's brought you to therapy and what you're hoping to find here, without any pressure to have it all figured out. My goal in that initial meeting is to begin to understand your experience in a fuller way, including your history, your relationships, and the patterns or pain points that feel most present for you right now. By the end of our first session, you can expect to feel heard, to have a clearer sense of how we might work together, and to leave with a beginning sense of what the therapeutic process could look like for you.
