Great to meet you!

My parents taught me the importance of having faith in God and a good work ethic. I have been married for 35 years and we have four sons. I am veteran. I served in the US Army for 3 years. I hold a doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. I enjoy working with couples and families. I also hold a Masters Degree in Social Work and a National Clinical License. I have over 25 years of clinical experience. I have practiced in Florida, Ohio, and currently in Texas.

My approach to therapy

I am deliberate about fostering a client-centered approach in every session. I do this by providing: active listening, congruence, empathy, unconditional positive regard, seeking clarity, seeking to understand, and nonjudgmental posturing. I want clients to feel safe letting down defenses and verbalizing difficult thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and past experiences.

What you can expect from me

Client's can expect to leave sessions with a sense of hope; release; healing; affirmation; empowerment; and increased motivation to actively participate in the change, healing, and restoration journey.
