Great to meet you!

You are probably exhausted from the mental gymnastics of "people-ing" and making yourself be "on" for everyone else. I’m Ruby, and I built this practice specifically so you’d have a safe place to finally drop the mask. I’m an unapologetically human therapist!! I don’t do the clinical "blank stare" routine. We can laugh, swear, and sit in the messy stuff together. Growing up, my favorite lyric was from Eminem's Beautiful (professional, I know!): "Walk a thousand miles in my shoes just to see what it's like to be me." That still resonates with me today. You don't have to carry the heavy things alone anymore. Let me walk with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach blends practical tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a deeper existential perspective , but the most important part is that therapy with me will never feel stiff or overly clinical. We will start by honoring the protective armor and coping skills that kept you alive. From there, we work together to build tools that move you out of "survival mode" and into a life where you can actually breathe. Choosing a therapist is nerve-wracking, but my goal is to give you a soft landing. In my office (virtual or in person), messy crying is encouraged, and showing up exactly as your true, unpolished self is the only rule.

What you can expect from me

Relief from the act. The first session is all about taking the pressure off. You don't have to package yourself neatly or perform for me. We will go at your pace, hear your story, and focus on providing practical tools to help you find some calm and clarity in the now while we figure out the bigger picture. Whether your inner child needs a soft place to land, or your adult self just needs someone to help untangle the chaos, we’ll start right where you are. Let's talk!
