Great to meet you!

When contemplating “resiliency,” I am reminded of the wisdom shared by Thich Nhat Hanh in his quote, “No Mud, No Lotus.” This succinctly encapsulates life’s challenges and the accompanying suffering. While we often yearn for happiness devoid of difficulties, I firmly believe that these struggles are indispensable for our overall well-being, akin to the lotus requiring mud to flourish.

My role involves helping clients recognize their potential to bloom into something remarkable, even amidst adversity when the path seems obscured. Through the integration of mindfulness, self-compassion, and trauma-informed methodologies, I facilitate a journey where clients unearth their inherent strengths and resilience, fostering transformative growth from within.

My approach to therapy

I integrate principles of mindfulness and self-compassion with all my clients. These tools allow us to become more open to life experiences and to learn skills to live in the present. I have completed a basic Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Learning to Breathe courses from Davis Behavioral Health, Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 from The Gottman Institute.

I also have completed trainings for Internal Family Systems (IFS) and love integrating parts work into my work with clients. Over the last few years I have been under supervision toward my Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Certification, trained and informed in IFS, and taken numerous additional training opportunities to improve my skills to help clients with trauma and eating disorders.

What you can expect from me

My approach centers on fostering a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients feel empowered to embrace their authenticity. By providing this nurturing space, I aim to facilitate exploration and understanding of their complex emotions and behaviors, ultimately guiding them towards healing and growth.
