Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, providing individual, marriage, and family counseling in both English and Mandarin. I help clients deepen self-awareness, strengthen self-esteem, develop self-acceptance, and improve their relationships with others. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, stress, attachment issues, relationship challenges, and spiritual concerns.

Through both the successes and failures in my own life—and through experiencing gain and loss in meaningful relationships—I felt called to pursue professional counseling. I earned my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and obtained my LPC license. The journey of professional training, along with the deepening of my faith, has led me to greater self-understanding and acceptance. My own experiences of healing and growth have become a valuable foundation in my work and a meaningful source of support for my clients.

I integrate client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and Gestalt therapy to help clients explore their inner world and relational patterns. I strive to create a safe, compassionate environment where clients feel fully heard, understood, and accepted.

I am deeply grateful for the trust and openness of every client who enters the counseling room. I cherish each story shared, as well as the insight, healing, and growth that unfold through the counseling process. It is this privilege that continues to inspire and sustain my work.

My approach to therapy

I integrate client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and Gestalt therapy to help clients explore their inner world and relational patterns.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a space for us to get to know each other and begin building a safe, trusting foundation. Starting counseling can feel vulnerable, so my priority is to create an environment where the you feel heard, respected, and at ease.

During the first meeting, we will talk about what brings you to counseling and what you hope to gain from the process. I may ask questions about your personal history, relationships, emotional experiences, and any current challenges. There is no pressure to share everything at once—you are always in control of the pace.

We will also discuss your goals and what meaningful change might look like for you. Together, we will explore how I can best support you and whether my approach feels like a good fit. I may introduce some initial reflections or gentle insights, but the first session is primarily about understanding your story.

You can expect:

  • A nonjudgmental and compassionate space
  • Attentive listening and thoughtful questions
  • Respect for your cultural, relational, and spiritual background
  • Collaboration in setting goals and next steps

Most importantly, you can expect to be met as a whole person—not just as a set of symptoms. Counseling is a process, and the first session is simply the beginning of that journey.
