Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dr. Rukhsar Ali, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and stress-related challenges. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and have experience providing psychiatric care across a variety of outpatient, community, and behavioral health settings. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and personalized—I believe every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and involved in their treatment. Together, we'll create a plan that supports your goals and helps you move toward lasting wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual's unique needs. I believe the best outcomes happen when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment decisions. During our visits, I take time to understand your concerns, answer questions, and work with you to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals and values. I utilize evidence-based approaches, including medication management, supportive therapy, and education, to help clients build lasting improvements in their mental health and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

During your first appointment, we'll take time to discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals in a supportive and judgment-free environment. My goal is to gain a thorough understanding of what you're experiencing so we can identify factors that may be affecting your mental health and overall well-being. Together, we'll review treatment options, answer any questions you may have, and begin developing a personalized plan that feels right for you. By the end of the session, you can expect greater clarity about your concerns and clear next steps for moving forward.
