Great to meet you!

I grew up in different countries (Hong Kong, Malaysia, United Kingdom, U.S.), amongst varied mentalities and outlooks. These experiences help me connect with people from many walks of life and understand how they relate and make choices. I see adults struggling with depression, anxiety, relationships, identity, third culture. (individual, couples therapy and men's group)

My approach to therapy

The therapy approach is personalized to best resonate with you and your process. Sessions will focus on one or two key areas so we can engage in deeper examination and exploration. As progress emerges—whether through changes in behavior, shifts in perspective, or new awareness—we will look closely at how these developments show up and take shape in your life. Throughout the process, I will often draw on a few concepts (black and white thinking, trade offs etc) that can help reframe the way we examine the challenges you are facing. Skills-based exercises may be practiced in session or as homework. Humor also exists.

What you can expect from me

The first few appointments are focused on getting to know you and your situation—understanding what’s been going on, the challenges you’re facing, your supports, and parts of your history that may be important. Some of the questions might feel quite personal, especially in a first session, and that’s completely understandable. We can always take things at a pace that feels comfortable for you—while some areas are important to explore early on, others can wait. Most importantly, I want you to know that you’re in a safe, supportive space.
