Great to meet you!

My name is Ruthie Kimmons, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated in 2016 with a masters degree in social work from OLLU. I have an extensive amount of experience working in the field with children, teens, parents and adults. I feel that through my field experience I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise when working with my clients. I am very passionate about my career and helping my clients overcome what may feel like one of the most difficult times of their lives.

My approach to therapy

I feel it is important to build trust, as trust allows my clients to feel comfortable with disclosure as our sessions are a safe place. I focus on helping my clients identify the behaviors they want to change, then build a treatment plan that clients feel are manageable and obtainable. It’s not uncommon to hit a few bumps in the road during your lifetime and to identify a desire to change for the better followed by acting upon that desire is an amazing journey I want to walk you through.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to help you grow into a better version of yourself and be the support you need when you feel like there is no one else to turn to. From my sessions I hope that my clients walk away with a sense of growth through education, therapy, and empowerment.
