Great to meet you!

Hello! I am originally from Armenia and came to the US as a child. I attended college in South Carolina and received my Bachelor's degree in art studio and art history in 2005. After my daughter was born I went back to college and worked towards a Master degree in art education and taught middle school art for seven years. I loved the part in the classroom with my students but did not like how the arts were not regarded with importance in the schools, so I continued my journey to receive a Master's degree in art therapy from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA and that's what I have been doing since 2021. I am excited to create a safe space for my clients to express themselves and develop skills to cope with life. Through the use of art therapy, we can work together to improve mental health and decrease stress. The most important part of therapy is being able to connect and create a trusting relationship with your counselor. Let's get started on improving your relationships with self and others. I specialize in working with children 10 and older, teens and adults through creative expression. I specialize in anxiety, depression, adjustment, grief, trauma, interpersonal relationships and more. I speak both Armenian and English.

My approach to therapy

My main focus is to build trust and rapport with my clients. I have an eclectic style and tend to focus on humanistic, person centered, psychodynamic approaches combined with CBT, Jungian and art therapy. My focuses are life changes, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD and grief.

What you can expect from me

I create a safe environment where clients can be authentic and vulnerable. I like to include my client's in their treatment plan creation and setting their goals so they can have accountability in their journey and feel more empowered with their progress.
