Anxiety, Depression, and Stress

Great to meet you!

Hello! I provide Telehealth individual therapy sessions for adults who are primarily experiencing anxiety and depression struggles. Prior to working with Headway, I had worked in a variety of settings, including day treatment, residential treatment, outpatient therapy, in-home skills services, and day treatment. I have a masters in Counseling Psychology. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and watching the MN Vikings (and also love my Packer and Seahawks friends).

A bit about my approach to therapy

I like to use a person-centered approach, where I treat you as an equal partner in our therapy sessions, and we go at a pace that is comfortable for you. It is my aim to have a style of therapy that is non-judgmental, kind, and curious, as we explore ways together to achieve your therapy goals. I also like to incorporate mindfulness and cognitive techniques.

What you can expect from our first session

It can be challenging to know how to navigate life when experiencing stress. These stressors can lead us to feeling unsure of what we can do to take good care of ourselves. It also can be difficult to fully talk through our problems with those in our everyday lives. Those I work with can expect to have space to slow down and being mindful of what is taking place in their lives, identify what is in their control and what is not, and identify strategies to help them in their circumstances.
