Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and ICU nurse who believes therapy should feel real, supportive, and judgment-free. My background in critical care, behavioral health, and substance use treatment has taught me how resilient people can be during life’s hardest moments. I’m also a runner who enjoys races and pushing myself toward personal goals, and I know firsthand what it’s like to experience tremendous loss and major life changes. As a gay therapist, I strive to create a safe, affirming space where clients can feel comfortable being fully themselves while working toward healing, growth, and balance.

My approach to therapy

compassionate, and practical. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Person-Centered Therapy to help clients better understand their emotions, build healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful change in their lives. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not a lecture, and I work to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being honest without fear of judgment. I tailor treatment to each individual’s needs, goals, and personal experiences.

What you can expect from me

The first session is really about getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. My goal is to create a comfortable, relaxed environment where you can speak openly at your own pace. We’ll discuss your current challenges, personal history, goals for therapy, and what you hope to get out of the process. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy — we work through things together. Clients often leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and more hopeful about moving forward.
