Great to meet you!
A bit about me. I became interested in psychology when I learned that we can only see the world through our own eyes, and that each of us experiences the world, uniquely, based on the very particular circumstances of our lives. Later, I learned how this core feature of being human can produce suffering, but it is also how we find hope, relief, and even joy. For me, using this understanding to help others navigate the peaks and valleys of the human experience just made sense.
I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Louisville. I furthered my clinical training by completing my predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship with the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. I am trained primarily in evidence-based care which emphasizes therapies that have scientific backing. If you choose me as your therapist, we will decide together how to apply these proven techniques to your unique experiences.
