Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Ryan, the founder and primary therapist at Afterglow Behavioral and Sexual Health (www.afterglowhealth.org). I enjoy working with individuals and couples seeking deeper connection, healing, and confidence in themselves and their relationships. Many feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected due to stress, life transitions, chronic health conditions, or mental health concerns. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space while providing practical tools and insight to help clients better understand themselves, improve communication, and create meaningful, lasting change. Clients choose me for my balance of compassion and direction, helping them move forward with clarity, confidence, and a stronger emotional and relational connection.

My approach to therapy

As a Certified Sex Therapist, I work with all people to address their intimate concerns, and have high success working with women who struggle with vaginismus and all people struggling with pornography and unwanted sexual behaviors. I specialize in sexual health and chronic medical conditions such as autoimmune, pain, and more that you can explore on my private practice website (https://afterglowhealth.org/specialty-sexual-health-services ).

Sex therapy is not all I do, though, I’m a collaborative, practical, and grounded therapist focused on the whole person. I work with clients to understand how emotional health, relationships, physical health, body image, and sexual well-being intersect in their lives by creating a space where difficult and often avoided topics can be discussed openly and without shame. My goal is to help individuals and couples develop sustainable skills, healthier perspectives, and a deeper sense of connection, pleasure, and authenticity in their lives.

What you can expect from me

During the first visit with me, you can expect a welcoming, judgment-free conversation focused on understanding what brings you in and what you hope to improve in your emotional, relational, or sexual well-being. The session typically includes a brief review of services. You are also encouraged to share only what you feel comfortable discussing and ask questions about the process as we explore the best approach to your care.
