Great to meet you!

I love being a therapist. It is a privilege to witness people reclaiming their lives and experiencing the profound satisfaction that comes from living a values-centered life. I have been fortunate to attend a doctoral training program, internship, and postdoctoral residency that were each accredited by the American Psychological Association, which helped ensure a high-caliber training environment, which was also quite varied in settings, approaches, and diagnoses.

My approach to therapy

I primarily use a brief and evidence-based approach to therapy, but that does not mean a rushed or "cookie-cutter" approach. Efficient care is conscientious care. I first do my best to provide a space that is emotionally safe, unconditionally accepting, and spiritually edifying. That is when the best healing will take place. We will then work together to get you to a point where you feel empowered to self-manage your concerns and conditions and choose the direction of your life.

What you can expect from me

My approach to therapy is cognitive-behavioral with a particular emphasis on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). You can expect to focus in first on what you value most in life. Then, I will assist you in developing new perspectives and responses to old ways of thinking and feeling that have resulted in you feeling trapped. During sessions, I will guide, encourage, and teach you. The work you do between sessions will be the most important as you grow and change in profound ways.
