Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Ryan (she/her/hers) I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with years of experience providing trauma-informed care, CBT, crisis intervention and case management. My treatment particularly focuses on trauma, managing stress and anxiety.

I am committed to culturally responsive, evidence-based care that honors each client's unique story. I am experienced in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, advocating for client access to resources, and supporting clients through crisis and long-term growth.

My approach to therapy

I consider deep empathy and active listening to be the foundation of meaningful therapy. Before any technique or framework, there has to be trust — and trust grows when someone feels genuinely understood. My approach is grounded in that: meeting you where you are, sitting with the hard feelings, and reflecting on these feelings and experiences.

You are the expert on your life. My role is to hold space, ask thoughtful questions, and help you uncover the clarity that's already within you. Whether you're navigating grief, anxiety, a major transition, or simply feeling stuck, we'll move at your pace — together.

What you can expect from me

I’m here to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can share your thoughts, feelings, and concerns openly. My role is to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and collaborate with you to understand your needs and goals. This first session is about getting to know each other and laying the foundation for our work together.

What to Expect:

  • Introductions: We’ll start with a brief introduction—me sharing a bit about my approach and background, and you sharing what feels most important for me to know about you.
  • Goals for Therapy: We’ll discuss what you’d like to focus on—whether it’s managing stress, improving relationships, exploring emotions, or something else entirely. Therapy is most effective when we align on clear, meaningful goals together.
  • Previous Experience in Therapy: If you’ve been in therapy before, we can reflect on what worked well for you and what you’d like to approach differently this time.
  • Mental Health History: You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable about your mental health history. This might include past challenges, coping strategies that have helped, or patterns you’ve noticed in your emotional well-being. There’s no need to share everything at once—we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.

How We’ll Proceed: After this session, we’ll have a clearer sense of how to move forward. Whether it’s scheduling regular sessions, exploring specific techniques, or simply having a space to process your thoughts, my goal is to support you in a way that feels authentic and empowering
