Great to meet you!

I'm Ryan Lisman, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and I hold a Doctorate in Psychology. I employ a humanistic therapy approach that is client-centered and tailored to your individual therapeutic needs. One of my primary clinical goals is to identify unhealthy and unfair narratives and reframe them with uplifting narratives. I'm proud to be a Registered Drama Therapist, which allows for an embodied and creative approach to Therapy through active, experiential dramatic techniques; it's just as fun as it sounds! I want to commend you for taking the brave step of pursuing therapy.

My approach to therapy

I've done my best to get trained in a wide variety of therapy modalities. I utilize a nuanced blend of knowledge I've gained from all my training to effectively address, navigate, and heal the complex aspects of the self. I'm particularly passionate about helping queer clients and utilizing innovative approaches to therapy.

What you can expect from me

My primary goal for our first session is to identify the key areas you're seeking growth in and create an actionable plan that helps you to feel empowered and inspired to make gains in those areas. I'm sincerely interested in learning about you, and I love hearing about your passions and joys in life. I want you to leave your first session feeling sincerely hopeful for your future.
