Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with an EdD and more than 20 years of experience in mental health settings ranging from the Department of Youth Corrections and residential treatment to psychiatric hospitalization, detox and substance abuse facilities, and private practice. I currently serve as the Clinic Manager of the Sturm Center at the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at the University of Denver, and I also see clients privately. My work centers on helping people understand themselves more deeply and pursue meaningful growth and healing. I specialize in trauma and PTSD, with particular experience supporting survivors of childhood trauma, domestic violence, veterans, and individuals involved in the child protective service system.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm and collaborative, drawing on person-centered, psychodynamic, DBT, and narrative frameworks to meet you exactly where you are. I believe healing happens when people feel genuinely seen and supported. Together, we focus on understanding the wounds and patterns that keep resurfacing, building practical tools for navigating overwhelming seasons, and taking real steps toward lasting change. I have a particular passion for working with people who have spent years just getting through the day and are ready to move toward something more.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and for me to understand what has brought you here and what you are hoping for. I will listen carefully and without judgment. There is no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is for you to leave with a sense of safety and a clear picture of how we might work together. I look forward to seeing if we are a good fit.
