Great to meet you!

Thanks for clicking on my link!

As an allied licensed clinical professional counseling (LCPC) in Illinois, my goal is to help the people I work with live their best lives and cope with whatever life is presenting to them. I have been practicing for more than ten years, and I have worked with a variety mental health concerns. My main areas of focus include (but are not limited to) anxiety, depression, relationship problems, stress and anger management, substance use/abuse, men's health and mental health, as well as trauma and mood disorders.

My approach to therapy

Asking for help is not easy for anyone at any age or gender but by taking that step you are starting on the path to improving yourself. As your therapist, I am going to meet you where you are. One day that may be me listening, being objective, challenging, supportive, empowering, and validating. Other days, I may challenge you more to help continue to push through the hard times and moments and realize the personal strengths you have to be resilient and achieve your goals.

What you can expect from me

In the initial session, my primary goal is to hear your story, what your hopes and goals are, and to begin to build our professional therapeutic relationship. My additional goal is to simply get to know yourself, your personality (as best as you can after one hour), and provide the opportunity for you to ask about my professional experience or other questions you may have. Overall, I hope to create an environment where everyone feels welcome, supported, and open to communicate throughout the therapy process.
