Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist with experience helping individuals and couples work through patterns that leave them feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of themselves. My work often includes depression, shame, substance use, relationship difficulties, and religious or spiritual hurt. I help people navigate in-between spaces, when old ways of understanding themselves or their lives no longer seem to fit.

My approach to therapy

My approach is relational and psychodynamic, which means we pay attention not only to what you are experiencing now, but also to the patterns, relationships, and experiences that have shaped how you understand yourself and others. I hold a lot of value in the relationship we develop in therapy to notice how some of those patterns may show up between us, in hopes that we can use what we learn when these patterns show up, and create new experiences with them together.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to begin getting to know one another and understand what has brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about what you’re struggling with now, important relationships and experiences in your life, and what you hope might be different through our work together. You don’t need to arrive with a perfectly defined goal or tell your whole story at once. I'm sure your story is deep enough that one meeting couldn't do it justice anyway. I also want you to have space to ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and decide whether therapy with me feels like a good fit.
