Great to meet you!

No matter how our paths cross, please know you don’t have to walk through the dark alone. I’ve lived at the bottom, almost stayed there, and I know exactly what it takes to find the way out. Because others helped me up, I am deeply committed to doing the same for you. Whether you are active-duty military, a veteran, part of a family holding things together at home, a first responder, or a civilian neighbor navigating life’s heaviest storms, you are welcome here exactly as you are. In this space, you are family, never just a patient.

My approach to healing is built on a lifetime of service. After 32 years in Psychological Operations and 13 years in the US Air Force working in Joint Service, injuries ultimately forced my retirement as a 100% disabled combat veteran. Those experiences, combined with over a decade as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), shaped my deepest specialization: helping individuals navigate severe trauma, moral injury, and complex challenges like Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).

Traditional, religion-based frameworks don’t resonate with everyone. That is why I developed and published a concept called Non-Inclusive Moral Injury. By exploring trauma through the timeless value system of Bushido—the warrior's way—we can anchor your healing in a universal framework of honor, discipline, and respect. Together, we will process your experiences and rebuild your path forward.

My approach to therapy

Real, lasting healing begins by rebuilding your foundation from the ground up. I have found that true success in overcoming mental health challenges requires restoring the inherent, basic values that make you who you are. Once that groundwork is solid, you can confidently choose the pathway forward you want to build. We all have to be warriors in our own recovery process. To ensure everyone feels included, I use the universal Virtues of Bushido as our blueprint for this work. These timeless principles serve as our practical steps to success, guiding you as you reclaim your strength and inner peace.

What you can expect from me

Connecting with a therapist can feel daunting, but you are entirely in the driver’s seat from day one. When we first meet, there is no pressure to dive into your deepest wounds right away; our only goal is to see if we are a good fit.

I know firsthand how discouraging it is to sit across from a clinician you just don't click with. Because I actively prioritize my own therapy, I sit on both sides of the couch. I understand the vulnerability it takes to show up, and I work hard to build a real, down-to-earth rapport. Many of my clients share that they feel a strong, safe connection right here in our very first session.

Outside of the office, I’m a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and mentor who loves engaging with diverse cultural communities. I bring that same real-world humanity into our sessions. You set the pace, you choose what to share, and we walk through it together.
