Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician dedicated to helping individuals navigate trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the experiences that can impact emotional and mental well-being. My approach is grounded in compassion, respect, and the belief that every person has a story worth understanding—not simply a diagnosis to be treated.

I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with complex emotional and behavioral health needs. My areas of focus include trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, relationship concerns, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and the effects of difficult or adverse life experiences. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel heard, respected, and safe enough to be honest about what they are experiencing.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and collaborative. I believe therapy should be a partnership rather than a one-size-fits-all process. I take time to understand your experiences, strengths, culture, values, relationships, and goals so that we can develop a treatment approach that feels meaningful and realistic for you.

I focus not only on what is happening in your life today, but also on understanding how past experiences may influence your thoughts, emotions, relationships, behaviors, and responses to stress. Together, we can identify patterns, develop healthy coping strategies, strengthen emotional awareness, and work toward creating a greater sense of stability and control.

I also believe there is an important distinction between mental health and mental illness. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, recognize their emotional needs, and develop tools that support healing and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin establishing a therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect. We will discuss what brought you to therapy, what you would like to change or better understand, and what you hope to accomplish through treatment.

You can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you do not have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. We will work together to identify your immediate concerns, strengths, and treatment goals and begin developing a plan that is tailored to your individual needs.

Therapy is not about judging where you are—it is about understanding where you have been, recognizing where you are today, and supporting you as you determine where you want to go next.
