Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sabina Onwonga, DNP, a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from UMass Global University and my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Texas at Arlington.

I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care and specialize in treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and counseling support, helping clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to reach lasting stability and wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based, with a strong focus on helping clients feel heard, respected, and supported. I take time to complete a thorough assessment, listen to your concerns, and develop an individualized treatment plan that fits your goals, lifestyle, and unique needs.

I specialize in treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD, using a balanced approach that may include medication management, education, and supportive counseling. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space while helping you build long-term stability, emotional wellness, and improved daily functioning.

What you can expect from me

I focus on creating a calm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable being open about what you’ve been going through. I’ll take time to listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and learn about your symptoms, medical and mental health history, current medications, and the challenges affecting your daily life.

Together, we’ll identify your main goals and begin building a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive counseling, and practical coping strategies. By the end of our visit, you can expect to leave with a clearer understanding of what’s happening, a plan for next steps, and reassurance that you don’t have to navigate your mental health journey alone.
