Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adults navigating relationship stress, anxiety, shame, difficult patterns, trauma, and times when life looks successful on the outside but feels much messier internally.

I often work with people who are new to therapy, as well as other therapists and helping professionals who want a space where they can be fully human rather than always being the one who has it together. My style is warm, curious, and nonjudgmental. You do not need to have the right words or know exactly what you want to work on before we begin.

I’m also currently pursuing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Montclair State University. I care deeply about continuing to learn, while still keeping therapy practical, personal, and grounded in what is actually happening in your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and straightforward. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can say the things you may not feel comfortable saying anywhere else without worrying that you will be judged.

We may look at patterns in your relationships, how you respond to stress, the ways you cope when you feel overwhelmed, and experiences from your past that may still be affecting you now. I also like to help clients understand the “why” behind their behavior without getting stuck there. The goal is not just insight, but helping you make changes that feel realistic and sustainable.

I tend to be engaged and active in sessions. I will ask questions, offer observations, and gently challenge you when it seems helpful, while still allowing you to set the pace.

What you can expect from me

The first session is mostly about getting to know you and understanding what has been bringing you to therapy. We will talk about what has been feeling difficult, what you would like to be different, and any important background that helps me understand you more fully.

You do not need to tell me your entire life story or share anything you are not ready to talk about. My goal is for the first session to feel conversational rather than like an interview.

By the end, we will usually have a clearer sense of what you would like to work on and where we might begin. It is also a chance for you to get a feel for me and decide whether I seem like someone you would feel comfortable talking with.
