Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed mental health counselor in New York with experience working with people across all ages — from children and families to adults and older adults navigating later-life transitions. I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and substance use, and I bring a warm, direct approach to therapy. I want you to feel comfortable being fully honest with me — not just sharing the edited version of what's going on. offer telehealth sessions statewide across New York, and I accept several major insurance plans including Aetna, Cigna, Anthem BCBS, and Optum. Whether you've been in therapy before or this is your first time, I'll meet you where you are and we'll figure out the right pace together.

My approach to therapy

I think the most important thing in therapy is that it actually feels useful — not just a scheduled hour where you talk and leave feeling the same. My work is collaborative and practical. I draw on evidence-based approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, but I adapt based on what you actually need rather than following a rigid script. I take your goals seriously, whether that's getting through a difficult period, building healthier patterns around substances or mood, understanding your ADHD in a way that finally makes sense, or simply learning to feel less overwhelmed by daily life. I bring honesty and directness into sessions because I think that's more respectful than vague reassurance.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation, not a test. I'll ask about what's been going on, what brought you to therapy now, and what you're hoping to get out of it — and you're welcome to ask me questions too. There's no pressure to share everything at once. Some people come in knowing exactly what they want to work on; others are still figuring that out. Either is fine. By the end of our first session, you'll have a sense of whether we're a good fit and a clearer picture of what working together might look like. I want you to leave feeling like this was worth your time and your co-pay.
