Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, so my goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace.
During our first session, we'll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to achieve. I'll ask questions to better understand your background, strengths, and any experiences that may be impacting your well-being. This is also a chance for you to ask questions, learn about my approach, and determine whether we're a good fit to work together.
Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and develop a plan that is tailored to your unique needs. Whether you're looking to manage anxiety or depression, process past trauma, improve relationships, address behavioral concerns, or make changes related to alcohol or substance use, we'll work collaboratively to help you build practical coping skills, increase resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My hope is that you'll leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of the path forward.
