Great to meet you!

Are you feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, or transitions in your life or faith? I’m Sadé Barksdale-Cureton, a Licensed and Registered Board-Certified Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT, ATR-BC). I specialize in supporting women and mothers who are used to being the ones others rely on.

My training in Art Therapy and psychotherapy helps clients explore emotions, release internal pressure, and reconnect with themselves at a deeper level. In our sessions, we may use creative expression, reflective conversation, and grounding practices to make space for clarity and emotional relief. If your faith is meaningful to you, we can gently integrate scripture reflection, prayer, and values-based support.

I value therapy as a restorative pause—a place to breathe, process, and be seen. Together, we’ll move at a pace that honors your story, your identity, and your capacity. You don’t have to carry it all alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, reflective, and paced with intention. We’ll use Art Therapy and talk therapy to help you explore emotions, understand your patterns, and make space for healing. If faith is meaningful to you, it can be an optional part of our work together, woven into the therapeutic journey in a way that feels authentic and supportive. Together, we’ll create a space where you can slow down, feel safe, and reconnect with yourself.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance to talk about what has brought you here and what you’re hoping to change or feel differently about. We’ll explore your goals, discuss your background, and begin identifying patterns or stress points. You’ll get a clear sense of what our work together can look like and how we’ll move forward at a supportive pace.
