Great to meet you!

My path to becoming a psychologist was a combination of my personal experience, academic exploration, and professional development. In high school, I experienced the death of a close relative. During this time the school psychologist served as a pillar to ensure that I was receiving psychotherapy to cope with my loss. This experience sparked my interest in the mental health needs of individuals. After college, I went on to pursue a graduate program in psychology where I deepened my knowledge of different therapeutic approaches and clinical work. Along the way, I had hands-on experience through internships and supervised training, which helped me refine my skills and understand the real-world applications of what I had learned.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach is warm, client-centered, and collaborative—I see therapy as a partnership where we work together to explore your challenges, goals, and strengths. I try to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment, and I always encourage open communication. My goal is to walk with you through the process, helping you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and ultimately feel empowered to make the changes you’re hoping for in your life. I want you to feel that therapy is a space where you can show up as your authentic self, and that we’re working together toward your well-being in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful to you.

What you can expect from our first session

In sessions with me, clients can expect to build the capacity to better manage their mental health symptoms, fostering a deeper understanding of themselves and how they relate to others. My approach is centered around equipping clients with practical tools and strategies to manage life’s stressors and challenges as they arise. Through our work together, I aim to empower clients to gain insight into their thought patterns and behaviors, while also cultivating healthier ways of coping and interacting with the world around them. Ultimately, the goal is to help clients develop a stronger sense of resilience, self-awareness, and emotional well-being.
