Great to meet you!

Many of the people I work with don't look like they're struggling. They're responsible, dependable, insightful, and often the person others turn to for support. They've learned to cope by staying productive, keeping their emotions in check, and trying to get things "right." Those strategies probably helped them at one point. Left unmanaged, though, they can lead to anxiety, burnout, loneliness, or a feeling that life has become more about managing than actually living.

I'm especially passionate about helping people understand these patterns without shame. Together, we'll work toward a life that feels guided by your values rather than by fear, pressure, or the need to stay in control.

I'm Sadie Lipman. I have over 7 years of experience in the mental health field. I work with adult clients in Florida, Virginia, and Iowa virtually. I would describe my therapy approach as warm, empowering, and reliable. This is therapy that is up-to-date and down-to-earth. As a therapist, I blend new‐age thinking with reliable, evidence‐based interventions.

My approach to therapy

I chose the name Roadmap Psychotherapy for my practice because my approach to therapy is "You are the driver, I can just offer directions." I am dedicated to decreasing gatekeeping and prioritizing my clients' empowerment. My work is grounded in a person-centered philosophy. You are the most important part of therapy, and your experience leads the way. To best support you, I draw from a wide range of evidence-based interventions and therapeutic theories, tailoring our work to your needs, goals, and readiness for change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is less like an interview, but more like starting on a puzzle together.

I'll want to understand what brings you to therapy, but I'm equally interested in what has kept the problem going. We'll explore what's happening in your life now, what you've already tried, and what you hope will be different. Along the way, I'll likely begin sharing observations or patterns that stand out.

Clients often describe my approach as warmly honest. I will compassionately name patterns that may be keeping you stuck, while empowering you to make changes at a pace that feels right for you. Any work we do together is grounded in what you want for your life. There may be a Roadmap, but you are the driver.
