Great to meet you!

Hi there, I’m Sage, and yes it’s my real name! I try to live up to the name in my work with clients. My goal is to I help you explore the relationship between acceptance and change in your own life/relationship within the safe context of therapy. We work together to address your needs and reach your goals, but also talk about the bigger picture, or just vent if you need to.

My approach to therapy

I am warm, encouraging, and open. I try to balance the serious moments of therapy with humor and and lightheartedness - there’s nothing better than a genuine laugh shared with a client! My style is eclectic, holistic, and person-centered. Having knowledge of different approaches helps me and the client figure out what is going to work best for them. I do like to incorporate mindfulness and knowledge of the mind-body connection into my sessions.

What you can expect from me

My sessions with clients flow naturally from insight-building to finding solutions, making changes, and back again. I think it is important to understand why we do things but it is not always necessary in order to start changing. I am a big believer in the importance of the work clients do in between sessions. whether it is homework, practicing new skills, or spending time reflecting in a discussion had in session. I love a client who comes into sessions ready to work or with a topic in mind.
