"Life is a balancing act of holding on and letting go." - Rumi
Holding on refers to the importance of maintaining connections, values, and commitments that provide a sense of stability and continuity in life.
Letting go involves releasing attachments that no longer serve us, allowing for personal growth and the possibility of new beginnings.
This balance is essential for resilience and personal development as it enables individuals to adapt to change and accept impermanance.
Practicing this balance allows one to navigate life's complexities with grace and clarity, fostering a sense of peace and fulfillment.
Rumi's widson encourages us to evaluate our attachments and to be open to the transformative power of both letting go and holding on.
I believe each one of us holds the answers we seek within us. I maintain a safe and nurturing space for clients to explore and process their experiences, beliefs, and stories in order to uncover and reveal those answers, facilitate release, and create positive change. My therapeutic style is warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental. I embrace a person-centered, trauma informed, strengths-based, and solution focused approach primarily through the therapeutic modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR, and NLP. I also facilitate equine assisted psychotherapy sessions, when the weather and the temperatures allow from April - November.
